Short Term


Short Term Projects offer an opportunity to individuals, students or groups who have limited time but want to be involved in a worthwhile cause in a local community in Kenya.


This program usually lasts  between 1-3 weeks and are organized on a monthly basis.

Program Cost

The cost for this program is affordable and it is calculated to enable to organization cover all relevant expenses involved in its implementation. The program participation fee varies with specific project, but is usually around 340USD per project. However, it varies with the partner organization through which the volunteer is applying. This fee will assist VACK in meeting the following:Administration cost,Accommodation (one day accommodation before project and one day accommodation after project), Two way Airport transfers, Meals during project duration,Supporting Project activities,Supporting Community Resource Centres. Volunteers have to be over 18 years old and in good health conditions.

What to bring

Volunteers should be motivated to work, having a healthy curiosity and a capacity to listen and learn. Moreover, a certain sense of responsibility and the ability of an autonomous way of life are required.

Our principal agenda as an organisation is to encourage intercultural exchange by working together, aspiring that every volunteer, as an autonomous part of the community, finds his/her personal role in daily life.
